Robert Altman’s A Prairie Home Companion
with Garrison Keillor in Person!

A Prairie Home Companion is an American institution, one of the few things you can count on to brighten up a week’s worth of nerve-wracking developments. It is now a movie, and a glorious one, resulting from a wonderful collaboration between Prairie Home’s originator, host, and crooner Garrison Keillor and Robert Altman, not to mention a marvelous collection of actors, all assembled under the roof of St. Paul’s Fitzgerald Theater.

The cast of characters includes: Meryl Streep and Lily Tomlin as the singing Johnson Sisters, Lindsay Lohan as Streep’s daughter, Woody Harrelson and John C. Reilly as a singing duo too ribald for radio, L.Q. Jones as old Chuck the showbiz vet, Kevin Kline as a bumbling Guy Noir, Virginia Madsen as a mysterious angel, and Tommy Lee Jones as the suit from Texas poised to shut down the whole shebang.

And let’s not forget GK himself and as himself, suffering every development with good humor and natural loquaciousness.

We’re proud to be presenting a special preview screening of this film, followed by a talk with Mr. Keillor himself. A Prairie Home Companion opens in theaters on June 9.
