The daughter of an influential businessman (Ruta Lee) is an eyewitness to a brutal slaying. The motive is thought to be robbery, but an investigation by Chicago policeman Frank Ballinger (Marvin) uncovers a surprising new suspect. Aired on Valentine’s Day, 1958, this episode of NBC’s M Squad was directed by Robert Altman at the height of his television career, 12 years before he made his first hit film. The episode will be shown with its original commercials intact. Thanks to the Museum of Television and Radio and Universal for making this special show available for this screening.
