Forty Years of One-Night Stands
Jeff McKay, Canada, 2008; 72m
Born out of nothing, The Royal Winnipeg Ballet set the ballet world on fire. From Flin Flon to Moscow, it wowed audiences and critics alike with its youth, vitality, and innocent excitement. Through the diverse voices of RWB company members—past and present—40 YEARS OF ONE-NIGHT STANDS recounts the obsessive commitment and vision of those who brought the lofty art of ballet to the people. Introduced by the director.

Keep Dancing
Douglas Turnbaugh and Gregory Vander Veer, USA, 2009; 18m
Since they appeared in "Follies" together on Broadway, Marge Champion and Donald Saddler have been fast friends and also informal dancing partners. In fact, although both have hit the 90 year mark, they still get together weekly in a studio, warm up, do a barre, and indulge in their favorite past time-- dancing. The film, produced and directed by Gregory Vander Veer and Douglas Turnbaugh, seamlessly blends nine decades of archival film and photos and in just 19 minutes give us an intimate glimpse of two extraordinary and beloved artists for whom the aging process is only a statistic. Marge Champion and Donald Saddler in person! as well as the directors for a talkback after both screenings.

Marge Champion was the live model for "Swan Lake" and Hyacinth Hippo in "Fantasia" as well a co-star with husband Gower Champion in a slew of Hollywood musicals.

Donald Saddler danced in movies and on stage and became an award winning choreographer, choreographing dozens of hit Broadway shows including "No, No, Nanette" and "On Your Toes."
