Nicknamed the “Boy Wonder,” Irving Thalberg co-founded Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer at the age of 24. Hollywood Dreams Made Real features a treasure trove of previously unseen images recounting the making of some of MGM’s greatest films, including Ben-Hur, Tarzan the Ape Man, Grand Hotel and many other classics. This exhibition coincides with the publication of Mark A. Vieira’s new book, "Hollywood Dreams Made Real: Irving Thalberg and the Rise of M-G-M" (Abrams, October 2008). A book signing and brief talk by the author will be held Wednesday, Oct. 15, at 6:00 p.m.
