Young Friends of Film Presents: FACTOTUM

Starring Matt Dillon, Lili Taylor and Marisa Tomei.

Directed by Bent Hamer.

Admission: $50 for Young Friends of Film members (limit of 4 tickets per YFF member at this price); $60 for Film Society members and general public.

Actor Matt Dillon will be present at this preview screening. A reception, with hors d’oeuvres and an open bar, will immediately follow. Everyone will get to take home a free DVD from the Film Movement collection as well as a copy of Bukowski's novel, courtesy of Ecco, an Imprint of Harper Collins Publishers.

Factotum
U.S., 2006, 94 Minutes
Based on the acclaimed second novel by Charles Bukowski, Factotum stars Matt Dillon as Bukowski’s alter-ego Henry Chinaski - a self-destructive, self-proclaimed writer who mostly works menial jobs and quests for booze and women. When he falls for Jan (Lili Taylor), redemption could be near. With exceptional performances that capture the destructive line between life and art, Factotum is the story of a writer and man living on the edge, finding poetry in pleasure and pain.

Beer provided by Stella Artois®. Rum provided by Pampero.

Sponsored by National Geographic Traveler.

We wish to thank IFC Films for making this event possible.
