NEW YORK, NY (Wednesday January 13, 2013) -- The Film Society of Lincoln Center will kick off a daily radio program tomorrow from the 2013 Sundance Film Festival called Film Society’s Daily Buzz with Eugene Hernandez. The daily radio show, recorded live each morning at the Village at the Lift on Main St. in Park City is hosted by the Film Society of Lincoln Center's Eugene Hernandez, a co-founder of Indiewire who is celebrating his 20th anniversary of attending the festival.

Building on the success of The Daily Buzz at Sundance and SXSW in recent years, the Film Society will take the program to other festivals throughout the year and host an edition at the 51st New York Film Festival this fall (September 27 – October 13). The new initiative is aimed to bring the latest news and hot topics of each festival to listeners across the country.  For those that can’t make it to these noteworthy festivals, the Film Society is helping bring them a piece of the action!

Director of Digital Strategy, Eugene Hernandez said, "With this daily program, we're hoping to bring the best of festivals to audiences around the world by featuring in-depth conversations about the films and filmmakers that moviegoers, film critics and industry types are talking about."
Guests scheduled to appear include attending Film Society programmers as well as noted actors and filmmakers: actress Naomi Watts, who will join director Anne Fontaine to talk about their anticipated Sundance premiere, TWO MOTHERS; renowned international auteur Park Chan Wook whose film STOKER will premiere this weekend; SIGHTSEERS director Ben Wheatley and Travis Mathews, director of the provocative new gay art film starring James Franco, INTERIOR. LEATHER BAR.

A number of acclaimed documentary directors will sit down to talk about their new movies, including RJ Cutler (THE WORLD ACCORDING TO DICK CHENEY), Lucy Walker (THE CRASH REEL) and Carl Deal and Tia Lessin (CITIZEN KOCH).

Each show begins with a round of hot topics featuring critics and journalists sharing the latest buzz on the movies and deals making waves at the fest. Among those set to weigh in are Brooks Barnes (New York Times), Brian Brooks (Movieline), Scott Foundas (Village Voice), Anne Thompson (Indiewire), and Scott Macaulay (Filmmaker Magazine).

Industry insiders will participate in one-on-one interviews including film producer Christine Vachon, Columbia University dean Ira Deutchman from Emerging Pictures, Creative Capital Foundation head Ruby Lerner and top film sales agent John Sloss.

Presented by the Film Society of Lincoln Center and the Film Society’s Daily Buzz producer, Irene Cho, this third annual edition of the Daily Buzz from Sundance is presented locally in association with Salt Lake City public radio station KRCL (90.9FM) and will stream on the Film Society's website, http://filmlinc.com/dailybuzz, as well as via iTunes podcast.
