He convinces Louis, a down-on-his-luck poker player, to drive him to Spain to search—from among his mother’s many ex-lovers—for the man who could be his father. Kim Massee, an American raised in France, explores this relationship between two males who each need to find someone to belong to. American Kim Massee grew up in France and worked for such directors as Wim Wenders and Raoul Ruiz, before beginning her film career by directing several shorts. Cowboy Angels is her feature debut.
