You may have read the recent article in The New York Times which incorrectly stated that our members would not have advanced access to New York Film Festival tickets. We were deeply disappointed with the Times’ misstatement.
The change that was made to the member benefits was a small one: we are updating the ticketing process – eliminating “subscriptions” – and substituting an advance, priority ticketing period which will be open to our members. We believe that the new ticketing process will be user-friendly, streamlined, and precise. Additionally, this system will provide members with the freedom to choose the films they wish to see within the Festival, resulting in fuller houses at each of our screenings.
Click here to review the updated member benefits. More information on the new ticketing process and your advance access to Film Festival tickets will be forthcoming, and a copy of this letter will be sent to you via direct mail next week.
Thank you so much for your support of The Film Society, we look forward to seeing you in The Walter Reade Theater and at the New York Film Festival very soon.
Warm regards,
