Lucio Fulci

Born in 1927, Lucio Fulci studied as a medical student before entering the film industry—a world in which he would eventually earn himself the nickname the “Godfather of Gore.” Over the director’s more than 30 years of making films, he became most well-known for his gore films, including Zombie,The Beyond, and The House by the Cemetery. He died March 13, 1996.
