Friðrik Thór Friðriksson

Born May 12, 1954. From Reykjavík, Iceland.

Starting out making experimental films and documentaries, producer, writer and director Friðrik Thór Friðriksson has since founded The Icelandic Film Corporation, Iceland’s most well known production company partnering with Lars von Triers’ Zentropa and Francis Ford Coppola’s American Zoetrope. Friðriksson has won more than 20 various festival awards for his films, including four for Devil’s Island and three for Children of Nature.
