Sound - Furi Kuri
In Japan, silence is not only golden, it's deafening. Kazuya Tsurumaki's six-part OVA (original video animation - a straight-to-DVD-genre) Furi Kuri may be the deepest end of the noise pool into which to dive and familiarize oneself with the difference that governs much of contemporary cinema and music from Japan.

Vision - Hélio Oiticica
You probably don't know his name - or how to pronounce it - and it's more than likely you've never seen his work. But if you've been in an art gallery in the last 20 years you have felt his influence. Today, it's impossible to wander through the art world without stumbling upon some form of installation art. In the early seventies, there was very little, and some of the very best of it was Oiticica's.
