Video: Sofia Coppola Talks ‘The Bling Ring’

On June 10, Oscar-winning filmmaker Sofia Coppola visited the Film Society of Lincoln Center to discuss her new film, The Bling Ring, as part of our free Summer Talks series. The film tells the true crime story of a group of fame-obsessed teens who robbed a string of celebrity homes (including Paris Hilton's, who appears in the film) between 2008 and 2009. Below, we have gathered some of our favorite moments from our conversation with Coppola.

Coppola, well known for her use of pop music, addresses her attempt to capture the characters' youthful energy in the soundtrack:
