On December 23, Wim Wenders's stunning 3D documentary about the life and work of celebrated choreographer Pina Bausch returns to the Film Society for an extended run. The film was a hit at the 49th New York Film Festival and awards. nominations and praise for the film keep rolling in.
Film Society has just announced the winter schedule for our ongoing series of $6 Family Films, among them "Mary Poppins," "Explorers," "Bedknobs and Broomsticks" and the inventive shorts of Georges Méliès's including "A Trip to the Moon."
The festival's in-depth retrospective of Muntean's films will feature an extended conversation with the acclaimed director, who will be present at many screenings including "Tuesday, After Christmas" and Closing Night selection "The Paper Will Be Blue."
