The Bronx-born actor, director, producer and activist will be honored at the 41st annual Chaplin Award Gala on Monday, April 28. The Film Society’s annual Gala began in 1972, honoring Charlie Chaplin, and has since feted many of the industry's most notable talents.

The 64th Berlin International Film Festival climaxed tonight with the event's awards. China/Hong Kong feature Black Coal, Thin Ice won the Berlinale's top Golden Bear for Best Feature Film award. Richard Linklater won Best Director.
Richard Linklater has done it again. Two decades after hitting the indie filmmaking scene with his seminal feature Slacker, he has unveiled a new film that could very well be a spyglass into growing up in the 2000s. The filmmaker and cast discussed the remarkable Boyhood in Berlin.
Peruvian filmmaker Claudia Llosa made her mark on the Berlin International Film Festival in 2009, winning the event's top prize (the Golden Bear) for her second film The Milk of Sorrows. She's back with her new feature, Aloft, starring Jennifer Connelly and Cillian Murphy.
