Film Society of Lincoln Center is thrilled to announce that Susan Sarandon will act as Honorary Chair at this year's 39th Annual Chaplin Award Gala honoring legendary actress Catherine Deneuve. In addition, directors Martin Scorsese and James Gray and actress Chiara Mastroianni (who also happens to be Deneuve's daughter) have been announced as presenters at the April 2 event in Alice Tully Hall.

Deneuve and Sarandon starred together in Tony Scott's directorial debut The Hunger (1983), a racy vampire film also starring David Bowie which screened out of competition at Cannes and has since turned into a cult classic. The mother-daughter team have collaborated several other times, voice-acting in the Oscar-nominated animated film Persepolis (2007) and appearaing together in films including Time Regained (1999), Thieves (1996), and Us Two (1979), the latter when Mastroianni was just six years old.

The annual Chaplin Award Gala is a major fundraising event for the Film Society. The black-tie event includes a Cocktail Hour and a Tribute in Alice Tully Hall.
