In this three-part anthology film, Scorsese explores men and women, sex and creativity, co-dependence and freedom; Coppola takes off from the popular children’s book Eloise in a story about a little rich girl who lives in a hotel while her parents gad about the world; and the Woodman plays a fellow literally haunted by his nagging Jewish mother.
