Continuing an ongoing series celebrating the Big Apple, featuring films selected and introduced
by New York’s Finest and Most Colorful

As part of our Salute to the 100th Anniversary of the City of New York, the Film Society of Lincoln Center has invited a variety of quintessential New Yorkers to choose the movie about New York that best expresses what they love about this great city. In April, former mayor Edward I. Koch selected New York Stories, in June writer Pete Hamill introduced his favorite cinematic slice of New York: On the Waterfront.

This month screenwriter Jules Feiffer introduces LITTLE MURDERS (Alan Arkin, 1971; 100m), a hilarious black comedy that alternates between appalling disasters and violence. Based on Feiffer's stage play of the same name, the film stars Elliot Gould, Vincent Gardenia, Marcia Rodd and Donald Sutherland.
