			Film Comment Focus: A Conversation with Steve Coogan British comedy actor Steve Coogan comes to the NYFF with Michael Winterbottom’s Tristram Shandy:A Cock and Bull Story, in which he plays (and brilliantly mocks) himself. Coogan became a household name in the U.K. playing the self-important, inept talk-show host Alan Partridge in the BBC series Knowing Me, Knowing You and its sequel, I’m Alan Partridge. His movie breakthrough came as real-life Brit music biz legend Tony Wilson in Winterbottom’s hilarious 2002 biopic 24-Hour Party People, and since then Coogan has collaborated with Jim Jarmusch and Jackie Chan and most recently appeared in Don Roo’s spiky indie comedy drama Happy Endings.  Hosted by Film Comment editor Gavin Smith.  A reception will follow.
